About our client
BioRICS is a KU Leuven spin-off that calculates mental energy consumption based on raw sensor information from wearable devices such as Fitbits. BioRICS is committed to helping people improve their health and performance. It translates objective, real-time measurements into valuable, personalized insights about energy-drainers and energy-refuelers.
The challenge
The core BioRICS product consists of many parts that need to work together smoothly at all times: data collection from the hardware devices, algorithmic interpretation of the data and a user interface to map the insights to the user base. We partnered with BioRICS to tackle this last part, from UX design towards full-stack software implementation.
Our approach
We started with an audit of the existing software stack on top of AWS infrastructure. We set up a joint operating model together with the BioRICS engineering team in which we involved a product designer, front-end engineer and full-stack engineer from our end. Within a matter of days we had a smooth software delivery process up-and-running to build and release new versions in small increments.
